I love the chic design direction Marianna is taking with L'Academie, however, my review will be honest, as I'm hoping they actually read these reviews and can take constructive criticism. First off, the high rise and crop length were nice! I sized down to a 23 from my usual 24, as I do in other brands like Mother and Agolde. There was slight gaping at the waist, but I could have dealt with it. Otherwise, these were awful. The denim looks cheap, like low budget Walmart jeans. The front button is plain and looks like a $2 replacement button. Lastly, the hem looks weird. It looks exactly like when you get jeans altered and they don't put the original hem back on. Overall good effort, but please work on the details because these do not look like $200 jeans!
