This is a true thigh high boot! I'm 5'4" and this comes mid thigh on me. I purchased many ST boots this season - the 5050, Tieland, and Harper (2) (the suede ones and leather ones). The Tieland boot comes up the highest on my thigh. The Harper boot is pretty much the 5050 boot except it has a heel. The Tielands are the tightest on my legs than the 5050 and Harper because it has minimal stretch in the satin lining. But if you have thicker thighs don't despair as I do have muscular thighs and the Tieland worked for me. :) However, if you are in need of a less constricting boot, then you will find that the Harper boot has a slightly wider circumference than the Tieland boots, don't come up as high on the leg, and has a slightly lower heel. The Harper boot is also easier to get in/out of. Out of the 3 boot versions, I find the Tieland boots look the best on me with the Harper a close 2nd. :) The Tieland and Harper run TTS and 1/2 size down in the 5050 worked best for me.
