these are very comfortable and a great layering item, though they look good with a skirt as well. Not very see through. Size small works for me (5'5, thin/athletic)

Love these! Super soft. I had read some negative reviews, but I really think they might have gotten the wrong size. The seam isn't uncomfortable. These are not sheer. I would recommend that one wear something over them (e.g., skirt) rather than wearing them out like leggings. Very comfortable in the right size.
