I am new to MOTHER denim and this style is a flattering alternative to a skinny. That said, the sizing is bizarre. I ended up taking a 24 in this wash (normally a 26 or even a 27 if the denim lacks give). I also have this in the Not Guilty wash and took a 25. 5'8, 135 for reference.

I got a 29, it is very comfortable around the waist. I just had a baby so I have a little extra tummy, but it was a nice fit and flattering, not a tight fit in the legs but it looked good still. Color I didn't like as much in person, slightly darker. Made butt look good. Reason I am returning was length was like 5 inches too long and I don't want to get hemmed. I am 5'4 and 140-145 pounds or so.
