If you're in between sizes, definitely size down. This jean material is so soft and stretchy - very comfortable! I ordered size 28 which is my usual size, but I think 27 would fit even better. I'm 5'8 and length on these is definitely long, but will look cute with heeled boots.

I am a 26. They fit but I feel like I could have sized down. 25 is sold out so I will keep. You might want to order your regular size and smaller size. esp if you are in beween sizes.
